Dharma Mittra Yoga Shiva Namaskar Vinyasa Series is a stairway to bliss that reintegrates the continuous flow of prana (cosmic energy) through the spinal column, emanating deep into all areas of the physical, metabolic, intuitive and bliss bodies. The carefully selected inspirational Yoga postures in Sri Dharma's Shiva Namaskar Vinyasa series for all the levels are a culmination of his 40 years dedicated organization. They will unify the physical, mental and emotional bodies. Practice of these asanas strengthens and tones muscles, glands and internal organs. The postures are performed with slow graceful movements, so fantastic inner calm and self-control are felt immediately. With regular practice problems and disease are gradually brought to an end & self-realization comes easily.

Level 2 indicates that this is for slightly more advanced practitioners, with a slightly faster flow and deeper asana expressions.
Foundations to Flow
Whether you're brand new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, foundations to flow is the class for you! Many "Power" and "Vinyasa" flow classes can be intimidating and quite challenging--the pace is faster and the sequences are more complex. This class will provide you with the basic foundation or brush-up, if you're a seasoned practitioner, to explore and delve deeper into the practice. The pace is slower, allowing you to really marinate into each yogic pose. Each week, the class will have a different focus, ranging from core awakening, heart opening, to preparing for handstand. In Foundations to Flow, you will learn how to safely build your strength and flexibility in body, mind, and spirit--building a solid foundation for a deep and powerful yogic practice. If you're a seasoned practitioner, be prepared for those seemingly "easy" poses or transitions to get hard again! In this class, you'll be able to focus on the subtle details that you most likely ignore in a fast pace flow class. These "little" subtleties will open a whole new pathway for your practice: your transitions will feel seamless, your breath will feel lighter, and your body will be stronger.
Jivasara Flow 1/2
Jivasara is a Vinyasa (flow) style method of yoga that helps people to tap into their true natures and find the inner peace and freedom that is buried deep within us all. Jivasara uses fundamental principles from two popular yoga schools, Jivamukti (meaning "liberated from separation") and Anusara (meaning "flowing with grace"). Jivasara classes incorporate vinyasa (flowing poses), asanas (yoga postures), Sanskrit chanting and music, pranayama (breathing practices), meditation, alignment principles, and spiritual teachings which help uplift the spirit and let us realize our true nature, which is love.

Lunar Flow Level 2
The journey of hatha yoga is about uniting our lunar and solar energy. This is a blissful slow flow sequence by candlelight, through which you'll explore deep hip-openers and back bends, and experience balancing and grounding postures. This is a perfect class for yogis of all levels who need a mid-week refresher and for budding yogis who are interested in trying a different, smoother flavor of yoga. This practice is not recommended for yoga aspirants experiencing knee problems.
Mellow Flow 1/2
A vinyasa flow practice that combines warming flow with relaxation to let go of your day. An open level class, mellow flow incorporates connection with breath and a slower vinyasa flow pace that moves through intermediate postures. It warms and rejuvenates the body while simultaneously providing space for deep relaxation and release.
Power Yoga 1/2
Come and enjoy this early bird ('cause they catch the worm!) class that will start your day off on the right...asana! Starting off with a gentle warm up, in no time you will be flowing into a lovely sequence that will warm your body, muscles, and detoxify your organs. Taking classes at different times throughout the day will give you a new perspective and help to enhance and deepen your practice. So come a bit sleepy if you wish, but you will leave fully energized and more than ready to start your day! All levels welcome.
Power Yoga 2/3
Come ready to play and sweat! Power yoga is an invigorating and energizing flow practice that will leave you sweaty and blissful. Challenging sequences, including arm balances and inversions, will inspire you try new poses and go deeper in your practice. This class is designed for students with prior yoga experience and will be taught at an intermediate/advanced level with modifications offered for students who are newer to a power practice. Power yoga is a fundamental class that will help you develop grace & balance, while building strength & stamina in and off th mat.
Vinyasa Flow 1/2
Ideal for Yoga 1 yogis ready for a challenge. Refreshing and energizing, Yoga 1/2 will allow you to take the sequences and poses you know from Yoga 1 and combine breathing exercises to introduce you to a slightly faster flow and some new variations of poses as well. Variety is the spice of life, and new practitioners will find this class a welcomed change. Modifications for beginners and options for advanced practitioners are provided throughout the class. Vinyasa Flow 2/3
A combination of our two most advanced classes. Vinyasa Yoga Level 2/3 challenges you to explore your deepest postures. You will focus on opening your hips, shoulders, and chest. Be prepared for a combination of more common arm balances as well as new ones. Come and enjoy this class for designed for advanced practitioners, you will leave feeling refreshed, renewed, and completely peaceful.
Yin/Yang Yoga
At the end of a long week, you want to move and
groove a little. But, you’ve also got lots of kinks from all that time
you spent sitting hunched over your computer. So, do you go to the sweaty
vinyasa class? Or to a gentle stretch class? Well, you can do both! In Yin/Yang
Yoga we will balance an active, dynamic vinyasa practice for strong and flexible
muscles with Yin style passive, long-held poses that cultivate steadiness
of mind and flexibility and ease in the joints. You will feel invigorated,
refreshed, and ready for the weekend!
Version B: Yin/Yang Yoga provides the benefits of a balanced practice of Yin
and Yang styles of yoga. The more active, dynamic, Yang style of vinyasa strengthens
and invigorates the body and mind. The Yin style of long-held passive poses
opens the body to more flexibility and chi flow through the subtle channels
while also engendering a more contemplative, non-reactive quality of mind.
Emotionally, we are training an ability to stay with our experience as it
is.
Yoga Nidra
Yoga means "union" and implies adjoining or completeness; integration. Yoga Nidra is the integrative sleep of the yogis-a unique combination of alert awareness in deepest relaxation. It takes you to the alpha and theta states of consciousness, far beyond ordinary waking consciousness. In these deep states, the mystical integrative powers of the third eye and the higher centers of consciousness are released. This is the center where visions become reality, giving you direct access to the extraordinary powers of your own intuition, creativity, health in abundance. There are many techniques for systematically bringing one into this state. Yoga Nidra is not merely a technique and much more than a relaxation exercise.
